I've had this book for about 7 years and it is showing the wear! Whenever a runner comes to me with a compliant, this book is the first place I turn. I keep it in my car, so it is at every practice. We can use the book to quickly identify the potential problem based on the symptoms. From there, the book guides you on possible treatments and suggested courses of action based on severity! Very valuable!!

If you run, you need this book. The information in this book is applicable to absolute beginners as well as elites. Noakes teaches how to prevent injuries and treat them. Most of the topics are covered in Lore of Running - If you already have that book, there is no need to buy this one. The only drawback in this book is that the illustrations and photographs could have been better.
