This Russian Federal Act regulates relations concerning information acquisition, storage, transfer anddistribution, and protection. This Federal Law regulates relations arising from:
1) the exercise of the right to search, receive, transmit, produce and disseminate information;
2) the use of information technology;
3) ensuring the protection of information.
