Upon retiring from teaching school and farming in Michigan, Harold Knoll, Jr. left his forthcoming sedentary life, took his sailboat down to the Gulf, and headed around the world. Future volumes will continue his trip around the world. Captain Knoll, a true free spirit, picks up crew as he travels along. Forthcoming volumes will cover the eight years that he has spent going to Spain and Europe; the North Sea and Scandinavia; England, Scotland and the Irish Sea; the French Canal System; the Mediterranean Sea; and the Aegean Sea as he proceeds around the world the "wrong way" (against the prevailing easterly winds).
