For one of the fastest growing collectibles comes a fascinating book covering salt and pepper shakers from the 1860s to today. From humble pottery to the finest porcelain, from commemorative sets to... This description may be from another edition of this product.
There is knowledge to be gained from this book, but you have to dig for it. Virtually all of the photographs (where they exist at all) are in black & white. For the vast majority of shakers there is a written description and nothing else. I love Gideon Bosker’s other S&P books, but this one was a disappointment.
The READERS choice

I find many S & P sets in this book that I haven't been able to find in the "picture books". It may take a little longer to spot what you are looking for, but the shakers are arranged in sections that make research easier. If you are a word-nut, not a sight-reader, you will find this book a joy.
