The best book I've read on BCB3. After this book, all you need is the help menu (well almost). I have went to this book over and over agian to get info about the VCL and options that BCB3 has. Buy this one first and then buy the rest cause Borland is the best!
great book!

i have said that i will never buy any book titled 'teach yourself ...... in N days' after reading 'TYS Visuall C++'. but this book about C++ Builder broke the bond. it's comprehensive and very detailed, written in clear and humorous language. recommended to ANY one startig using BCB.
Great Primer

This is an ambitious book that tries to teach the basics of C++ and C++Builder. Overall it does a pretty good job. The database section was nicely revised and is much more lucid than in this books predecessor. In addition, a section on graphics has now been added. I have skimmed through most of the books out on this subject, and while each have their strengths and weaknesses, overall I feel this is the best introductory book. The only major weakness in this book is that some functins appearing in example code are simply not explained. How one is to know where these functions came from and how they work is a mystery for the reader to solve. On the whole though this appears to be the best primer out there. I would love to see a second book written by this same author taking it to the next level of complexity.

This book is great for new people starting with C++ Builder 3. First of all teaches you the main things about the C++ language, so you know the language syntax before starting to develop in C++ Builder 3. Then you will learn how to use the IDE and the RAD tools that makes C++ Builder 3 the best and intelligent choice for serious developers. Very readable and easy to follow.
