I have 5 children with the oldest so far being 20 years old and youngest so far is 7yrs. EVERY YEAR I buy each of them a Christmas book to read on Christmas eve. I baught 5 of this same book this season because the first one I baught at the mall and by the time I read the first 3 pages I knew I wanted each of them to have one of their own. Crazy as it may seem, I spent over 100.00 on the same title and it is well worth it. This is the very best Christmas book I have purchased yet and I've purchased several (go figure above) Forget how old you are, this book makes you a child at Christmas again and you will have an origional, this is not your average Christmas book and is filled with little secret compartments.
Keeps The Magic Alive!!

I have two daughters, ages 5 and 10. While my 5 year-old is very much into Santa and the whole experience, my 10 year-old very much wants to believe, but has her doubts. This book was just perfect for both of them. It was the last copy available at Target on Dec. 23rd, and the cover illustration jumped off of the page and caught my eye. I grabbed it immediately. Inside, I was thrilled to see the incredible imagination and detail that the author put into the creation of this book. I first shared the book with my 5 year-old, who was really taken in by the bright colors, pictures of the elves, the toy room, and learning about the Christmas feast. For my oldest daughter, all of the "real-world" scientific questions needed to be answered as to how Santa can even exist. This book mixed enough plausible science into the magic of the holiday to make it believable for her. Especially intriguing to her were the pull-out items from the book which included a map of the world which illustrates the zig-zag route Santa follows, the newspaper clipping from New York City (I believe) where people told of seeing Santa in the sky and confirming it was NOT an airplane, and the explanation of how Santa stops time to make his deliveries. My 10 year-old LOVED this book! There are so many holiday traditions from when I was a child that have faded from my life. I look at having this book around as being the start of a new tradition which helps keep the magic of Christmas alive for my children. For my oldest daughter, the ability to believe in Santa is somethinhg that I feel helps to maintain that innocence that we see in children for just a little bit longer. This book is really something that can be shared by the entire family. Worth buying.
BEST EVER!

This book is beautiful!! It is the best book about Santa ever written. I love how the facts of the animals in the north are mixed with how they help Santa to accomplish his many tasks. The artwork is breathtaking and the extras are fantastic. The route map, the letter, and more really make this a fun book! My kids love it!!! A definate must buy for the season!
Bring The Magic Of Christmas Home.....

My youngest is 5 this year, and as I see the magic of believing shine in his bright eyes I realize that this may be the last year. I also realize that with his amazing 5 year old imagination, passion, love and just plain innocence that this is to be THE year. This is going to be the year I don't rush around trying to please everyone on my list, shop till I drop, & bake until I faint. I am going to immerse myself in my sons view of Christmas. I am going to go slowly and create as many memories for he & I as I can. I am going to live in this season, minute by minute and relish being a part of his dream. And so, as we grab this book each night and climb up into bed and explore in utter fascination the detail in every nook and cranny of this beautifully illustrated book I am grateful. Thank you for creating a book that is so stunning that it can awaken the magic in the over scheduled self absorbed parent, and remind me that the true gift of the season is always with us. This book is worth every single penny.

Just got this book at our school book fair (full price, of course). It is beautiful! It includes facts about the North Pole and artic animals, then goes into information about Santa's house, workshop, the elves, reindeer, etc. There is a page about the mail room, Santa's snowsuit, and a recipe for cookies from Mrs. Claus. If you like books such as Fairyopolis, Pirateology, Princess Primer, etc - this one is very similar. We will not tire of reviewing this book every winter.
