Santiago Morais is strong, proud and fiercely passionate--everything that Lily's treacherous husband wasn't. It's in Santiago's arms that Lily finds herself awakened--she's not the frigid woman she believed herself to be. But a shocking discovery convinces Santiago that Lily has betrayed him, and he sends her away, not realizing that he is the father of her unborn child. Will Lily face motherhood alone?
This story is so beautiful I found myself getting misty while reading it. It reminded me of that movie "He said, She said" because Ms Lawrence writes each point of view of when Lily & Santiago met. Lily and her husband are going on a second honeymoon to Spain but when they get to the airport her husband Gordon said he's not going because he has unfinished work and that he would meet her in Spain later. Lily arrives in Spain alone and checks into the honeymoon suite -everyone including Santiago the rich alpha male assumes she's a widow because she's alone and crying. She's actually crying because her husband is a good for nothing cheating bastard and she knows it's over. So she and Santiago hook up and he's telling her to just forget her husband because he's dead and move on. She tries to tell him that her husband is not dead but it's hard to get him to listen to what she's saying. This book is funny, because Lily is funny- She suffers because the misunderstanding really hurt Santiago- I don't want to tell you too much but sparks fly between these two and it's awesome, a must read. I started reading this last night and could not put it down. I recommend this book highly- Kim Lawrence you've outdone yourself yet again.
