This book will be the first in a series of photographic essays I will refer to as "In the Mediterranean Sun." Each will concentrate on a specific and memorable region in one of my favorite parts of the world. The images selected for this work comprise the most significant views captured during a walking tour, mostly in the village of Oia, on the Greek isle of Santorini - also known as Thera, in the Aegean arm of the Mediterranean Sea. They were taken during the highest sun time of day in the summer of 2007. It is my hope that these images will help revive the memories of those who have seen this beautiful place. For those not yet so fortunate, let the images serve as motivation to make the journey for the first time.
