Overpriced but handy

This short (100 page) book provides a good cookbook for how to perform many nonparametric analyses with SAS 8+. I was disapointed to discover that it does not cover why you would want to use a nonparamtric stat or diagnostics to guide you to the correct nonparametric stats instead of the parametric analogs. It also doesn't provide enough explanation of all of the output that the nonparametric procedures kick out. That said, it does provide many useful examples complete with datasets with well annotated output showing you which lines you want to pay attention to for different stats. It is the only book I have seen that covers in detail several SAS procs (NPAR1WAY, MULTTEST and LOESS) and it has lots of nice nonparametric tricks for common SAS procedures (like UNIVARIATE AND FREQ). Overall it is a handy book.
