Emilygot up from her bed when she heard her mother calling her downstairs. Just as she was about to be step down she was pulled back into her mother's room a hand on her, "I heard that voice as well," said her mother.
The neighbors tell me say there is a ghost that lives in this house. But I'm sure I would have noticed it, after all I have been living here for the past 200 years.
We walked out of the house bidding good bye to our babysitter leaving our five-year-old daughter with her. As we drove away we received a text from our babysitter apologizing for not being available tonight.
Evening came and I looked out at my family field with the scarecrows in the middle. I blinked and came face to face with the one smiling straight at me.
As I helped my niece with her drawing I saw her paint a girl in a dress with a rope around her neck. When I asked who it was she pointed at the chandelier saying, "It's Erica my older sister she's hanging from the chandelier. Daddy put her there."
Darkness surrounds me, as I start feeling suffocated in the tiny space where I am. This all wrong I was supposed to be burned to ash not buried.
I smiled looking how the kids swayed and played seeing how high they could go. It was fascinating to see them swung from the rope around there necks.
I had been caught up in work and made it late to the funeral but no one would talk to me, as though I was invisible. But when I saw myself in the casket I understood why I was ignored.
I found the broth I was eating delicious. That is until I found my husband's wedding ring in it. It was still on his finger.
I ran through the forest with the sharp sting from the bushes slapping around my legs trying to run with all my mind. But a thousand black arms stretched out pulling me into the darkness, kicking and screaming until everything went dark.
