While you'll still need to use the Internet to look up things that change frequently like current rates for hotels or bed & breakfasts, and admission rates to the sights, this book provides good information about things to see and do in Orkney. I bought it to bring on a recent trip to Orkney as a backup in case I couldn't find a place to get on the Internet once I got there, and was glad that I did.
