When I realized there were 10 predecessors to this one I was dancing on sunshine. As to the other reviews? Put your political views aside and read about how our most honored and revered special forces group attempted a mission to provide intelligence, pre-attack Iraqi War. I came away from this book with knowledge of the people and cultures of the region and their expectations from us as allies again'st Sadam. Maybe we didn't exactly back the right people the way we intimated in the beginning but we did offer our support with conditions. If your curious about the Iraqi War and the conditions that led up to our attack, maybe you should pick up this book and enjoy a good story. I did and I'm glad I did. I've never enjoyed a series of books more than I've enjoyed reading these about the seals and how they got started all the way back in the first book, "Silver Star". I'm still reading them, and will probably reread them again if I get a chance. I would highly recommend "Iraqi Freedom" and any other book by this author as time well spent.
