I just received this book today. I started reading his introduction (I usually skim through intros). I could not stop reading it until the finish. It told his story with both the good and rough times. But regardless of the difficulties, his story clearly succeeded in two things: It made me respect him more, and, it made me want to return to my kitchen and put my heart back into cooking again.
I have just finished reading the intro, so I have yet to cook his recipes. However, I immediately see the beautiful layout and photos -a wonderfully designed treasure. The recipes are laid out well and easy to follow. Some are more complex than others, but explained and displayed well -giving me the confidence to try them. I very much look forward cooking from this very special book which I will treasure.
I loved the non-technical approach to this book . There isn't one receipe that I won't try.
