We do not have an LDS bookstore in my area, and so each time I want to order LDS products I can't leaf through the books or read the table of contents: I really take a gamble on whether each product is really what I am looking for. So I was really excited when this book turned about to be a winner! My oldest son was about to turn 8, and he listened raptly to the stories the author shared. (Some boys this age may be able to read the short chapters of just a few pages each) These were succint, I-can-relate, kind of stories. Perfect for a boy in this age group, though my younger girls really enjoyed listening the readings as well. The illustrations are a little nondescript, but that was not a bad thing. Definitely added to the enthusiasm that we were building toward his baptism.
