Poetry by Shiloh Sophia McCloud. A collection of poetry from her life and work.This offering of words was written in the early morning with candles, tea and often, kittens. Words that gave me something to do with all the love I felt in my heart for you, for our people, and for the future of the planet. The poems in the Shelter of the Sacred were written over two years 2016-2017 and shared in Red Thread Letters that I write for my community. As I went back through the tangle of tragedy, the bounty of breakthrough, the rebel prayers and the singing of blessings, I was interested how much of my work was in response to suffering. This idea, to do my part to alleviate suffering, has been with me for as long as I can remember; that I could make it easier for others through some kind offering. But what?
