Beautiful illustrations

I remember this book from when I was a little girl the art is so beautiful! I would stare at the illustrations for hours.

The illustrations in this book will delight fairy-lovers both young and old. The accompanying CD narrates the stories at a reasonable, easy-to-follow pace. The stories are sweet. Santa brought this for my 5 year old daughter, and I am not sure who loves it more, her or I! I expect this to be a keepsake book that we will enjoy through her early teen years.

We have two of the Shirley Farber CDs, (this one and The Adventures of Martha B Rabbit), and every night my four year old daughter listens to one of them on CD and it lulls her into sleep faster than any other method we have tried. This Book & CD include Bedtime Stories, The Enchanted Forest, and The Tooth Fairy. Shirley Barber's Fairy Collection starts with Bedtime Stories, a series of darling shorties. My daughter is usually asleep after two or three of them. The reader has a calming Austrialian sounding accent. She also loves the Enchanted Forest, which I usually don't play for her at bedtime because its a little more exciting. The Tooth Fairy, is another sweet one, very magical. This story was her first introduction to the concept of a tooth fairy. I usually read this one to her, as the pictures are very darling. When she gets older and is starting to read, I can imagine that having listened to the CD so much will help her read the words. And, she can also listen along as she tries to read. I highly reccommend this one, as well as The Adventures of Martha B Rabbit for little ones who like gentle fairy tales. Thank you Shirley Barber!

My children got this book for Christmas from Santa (Wink).They love this book, they read and listen to this book more thanplaying with their toys.3 weeks after getting this book my daughter broke the CD while putting it back into the book. I contacted the publisher and they sent me a free replacement CD. Awesome Support and Awesome Book. This time I made a backup copy of the CD. I recommend this Book. My 9, 7, and 3 year old girls love the book.
