In order to face and capture the terrible Banshee lurking inside Lewis Carroll's urn, Thomas helps Megan enter yet another realm in the afterlife of Merridiah. What the two aren't prepared for is the release of an eternal entity once thought lost with Merridiah University's heart. Forever transformed by the encounter, Megan now seeks to discover the dark secret Dane has walled up inside his boutique in the deep, dark realm far below Merridiah.
Most people thought that the first volume of Shutterbox was rather confusing. But, in my opinion, I found it to be very fascinating and worth the time to read. When I read Book 1, I was completely enthralled by the absolute creativity that Tavisha and Rikki Simons put into such a manga. At first glance of the cover, I adored the art. When I actually had my hands upon a copy, I flipped through it, and found the artwork to be something less expected... But it grew on me. Yet, if you look closer, the art is detailed. It was just a little different. Really. And, so, I read Book 2, then Book 3. Book 3 basically told more of the history behind AJ, Megan, Thomas, and Damien's past. Of course, it had a bit more suspense in it. Megan has to capture the evil Banshee before she literally no longer exists (in the first volumes, she accidentally awoken the Banshee and was told that she had to capture it or her existence stops). Then, it is revealed to her that her past life actually intertwined with some of the inhabitants of Merridah. I was so glad that all the characters still maintain their same personalities. I know that in some stories, the characters will usually change over some basis throughout the piece. To see Damien's untrusting (and now 'evil') personality actually plastered a smile upon my face. I knew from Book 1 I did not like him. And the art... It had so many action sequences. They really did capture intesity of Megan's struggles. This was such a wonderful read, and I cannot wait until Book 4 is released sometime next month. I know that I'll probably preorder it.
Turning out to be one of my favorites

Describing this series is difficult to say with only one word but if it had to be only one word it would be captivating. The first volume already captures you and make you crave for more. Honestly, I was pretty frustrated that I could not get my hands on this volume but waiting for it made me realize how much I missed the storyline and the characters.
Beautiful

If you read the first volume of this series and thought it wasn't too great, the third volume might just change your mind. As the story progresses, it blossoms into a wonderland of imagination. The artwork grows to be more refined, and beautifully ethereal. The characters' personalities are deepened as well. It's one of the most imaginative works I've ever encountered- a perfect fit to a story about dreams and muses!
Enjoy Merridah

I enjoyed this book so much that I wrote a letter to email in the back of the book. You will so enjoy this second part of the story. If you like to solve things, you should read the ShutterBox series. There are things I am trying to solve myself. You will love it!
