Written for young adults, Sign-Me-Fine introduces American Sign Language (ASL) and emphasizes how its structure differs from English. Young readers will learn grammatically correct ASL sentences, sign games, and the full beauty of ASL in poetry and music.
I was pleasantly surprised at how much information this book provided. Often times, you will find that most books about sign language do not even touch on the grammar of ASL. This book does so from the very beginning. An easy read (and a quick one at that), there's lots of interesting information and good insight for young teens. There aren't a lot of pictures or illustrations though. This is pure reading as opposed to a sign language dictionary. If you're interested in learning more about the grammar and syntax of American Sign Language, this book is well worth it's price. Highly Recommended by this Deafie! :o)
