A man who once thrived on wickedness and counted on forgiveness, Curtis Black has changed his ways. Back in the heart of his congregation and his family, he will no longer stray from the beaten path. Or so he's promised his long-suffering wife, Charlotte. But the sins of the past have strange ways of coming to light. First, Curtis's former mistress shows up with their newborn baby daughter--named Curtina--and insists that Curtis be a part of their lives. Charlotte has forbidden her husband to have anything to do with them, but the trouble is, Curtis's newfound conscience is leading him to have uncomfortable thoughts of responsibility. Also, the interim pastor who took over while Curtis was on a book tour is threatening blackmail. He's gotten too used to life at the pulpit and will do everything in his power to stay there. Meanwhile, Charlotte has her own previous transgressions to deal with. The man who claims to be her son's biological father has turned up and wants to make amends for the past thirteen years. If Charlotte gives in to his increasing requests, she may lose the only child she has left. However, Curtis and Charlotte have been through too much together to give up now. They must work harder than ever--as a mother and a father, as husband and wife--to save their family, their marriage, and their souls.
...don't get me wrong, Ms. Roby served up a tale loaded with drama and a certified page turner. BUT...I'm a little tired of the Good Reverend series. Main character Curtis Black is back and this time he's trying to do the right thing - he's fathered a child outside of his marriage and he's trying to do the honorable thing by pleasing his wife, but that leaves him yearning to spend time with his new daughter. Then you have his wife Charlotte who has to live up to her own surprising indiscretions when they show up on her doorstep. And let's not forget Curtis' new baby momma - hell bent on maintaining a place in Curtis' life. This story was told in true Kimberla Lawson Roby style... My only problem were some indiscretions that were completely left dangling in the end....
She has Done it again

Kimberla has done it again and I loved how she brought Curtis Black back with all his drama and even if you hadn't had the chance to meet him before the author made sure you had a little history on them in the book as well. Another book written so well you can't put it down.
One that I couldn't put down. Another homerun

I have read all of Kimberla Roby's books and this one AGAIN had me wanting to turn the pages. It's amazing how the story line continued where your interest was peaked.

Pastor Curtis Black was back and ready for a new beginning in Sin No More by Kimberla Lawson Roby. He had been ousted from two previous churches because of his philandering ways. Pastor Black brought shame to the body of Christ, his family and himself. No more lies, no more cheating, he was a new man and he was determined to get it right. He started a new church with, his wife, Charlotte, and she and his son, Matthew, were still standing by his side. Curtis was a new man, redeemed from his past, but the consequences of his sins have come back to haunt him. Tabitha, Curtis' former lover and their baby girl, Curtina, who was conceived in sin were back. If that was not enough, there was an enemy in the camp who was trying to put him out of his own church. Tabitha was coming to get what she thought belonged to her, and married or not Curtis Black was going to be hers. Tabitha still loved Curtis and was ready to use baby Curtina as her weapon of power in order to have her man. Tabitha was ready for the battle, but she was not at all prepared for the war and bit off more than she could chew by provoking Charlotte and trying to destroy the man of God. Charlotte was a woman scorned more than once, and this was the last straw. She was determined to keep Curtis away from Tabitha and Curtina if she had to die in the process. At times, she wished she would have divorced Curtis when she found out about Curtina. She could not allow that child into her house or family and it was up to her to find a way to keep her out. Charlotte had a few secrets and misdeeds of her own, and as she tried to keep them covered and placed blame on Curtis, the love and trust that God was in the process of resurrecting in their marriage was on the verge of being put asunder by man and dirty deeds. It was a great book; I could barely put it down and I was done with it too quickly. I could relate to the storyline and it was too real for me. It is an excellent read! It is heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time, but truly is exemplary of our God and how he cannot be mocked. I highly recommend this book to all who would like to see how all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.
