This episode takes place in and around Virginia City,Nevada.Jake Logan wasn't looking for trouble ,but before he knows it,he's sitting in a jail cell ,with a good chance of facing the hangman.Little did he expect that a girl would be the one that would help him escape to live another day. He figures he owes a favor in return and agrees to work for a British Lord who is out to get hold of a treasure that will ensure he retains the wealth to retain his rank. As usual,nothing ever works out as it would appear.There is a lot of skulldrugery going on with people getting killed ,and even Slocum seems to be defenceless against an unbelievable sniper with skills with a rifle that are far beyond anything he has ever come up against before.That,on top of not being able to figure who is telling Slocum the truth;and who is lying ,makes this a tale filled with mystery. This saga was a little too long on Mystery and much too short on what I hope for in Old West tales of adventure for my liking;but despite that,it was a story that kept my interest to the end.
