I’m a fan of Norah Hess and I got this book based on having read some of her other books. This book was 3 love stories in one...Stone and Flame, Shilo and Little Bird, and a rekindled love for Rudy and Rainer. Only problem is the ending seemed a bit rushed and rather incomplete. Not that he didn’t love her, but you wonder if Shilo truly changed his ways and his demeanor towards Little Bird...and did they have a boy or a girl. Then there’s Flame’s and Rainee’s wedding...it would’ve been nice to read about a double wedding and maybe a brief epilogue showing their lives a year or two later to say if Stone and Flame has started a family to fill up the rooms his parents were never able to.
I give it 3.5 stars. You don’t get much of a “happily ever after” feeling.

I love Norah Hess books. This is the second book that I've read by her. Devil in Spurs was the first. I like her style of writing and she does write well.
