very deep coverage of subject

As someone knowledgeable in the field of social psychology, I want to respond to the last review and emphasize that this is an outstanding survey of the field. Dr. Moghaddam has written a very profound work here, and the earlier reviewer is really criticizing social psychology more than this text per se. Moghaddam has successfully presented an intellectual critique of the mainstream field in this work as well as provided a good introduction to the field. Most introductory books don't dare offer the sort of deep insight that Moghaddam throws into every page. If you want to truly think about social psychology, this book is for you.
