Great Addition to the Personal Library

I love this. I've had some interest in Psychology in general, so when I needed this book for my Social Psych. class, this was well-informed of all the issues and concepts that are presented in analysing society as individuals and groups. It has opened my eyes to see people in a different outlook when people are rude, inconsiderate, or when people come as "weird." Besides those particular points, it also helps in understanding your own personal actions. You can receive a lot from this book that can benefit yourself and others for the good of your social environment. Highly recommend this.
Best Textbook I've Ever Used

Hands down, this is my favorite textbook! It did an amazing job of presenting the material. Reading the book didn't feel like school work at all. Each chapter started with an interesting story, some of which I had heard on the news before. Then, the chapter explained the concept at hand, and concluded by explaining how the concept applied to the story. The text was very easy to understand and very interesting, with many examples. The book was filled with graphs and diagrams that enhanced the text. I can't express how much I enjoyed this text. I thoroughly recommend taking a Social Psychology class if you can, and definitely use this text book!!

I needed this book for a class and I usually trade them in or sell them at the end of the semester. I'm going to keep this one and add it to my personal library. The chapters can be long, but they are all filled with good information and very useful examples. Most of my Professor's lectures were taken directly from the contents of this book. The book also references well and lesser known Psychology work to bring you important information from the field. I probably could have gotten a good grade without going to class every week and just studying this book. As it is, I'm sure I owe a lot to the A I got in Social Psychology to this book.

This is the most thoroughly engaging, thought provoking, and useful textbook I have ever had to read. Although it was assigned reading, I always looked forward to it and often read beyond what was required. The stories at the beginning of every chapter, the famous quotes that relate to the issues discussed, and the numerous examples of experiments cited in the text make this an excellent book. I plan to read some of the recommended titles for further reading that the book suggests.
