Solution book review really should be done by a matematician

If you are thinking of buying this book, it means you have bought the Engineer-In-Training Reference Manual. Since you bought the manual, you are truely an idiot if you don't buy the solution manual. With that being said; the solutions book works out all the problems that are in the manual. The solutions are worked out in steps and as far as I can see the steps aren't complicated (meaning there's no mathematical gymnastics involved like knowing an uncommon mathematical identity). The steps are simple enough that you understand what you don't know and have an idea of where to go if you don't understand the solution. However, just like many college text books, it might have mistakes. I can't comment on whether or not there are many mistakes in the solutions, nor can anyone who needs this book. It would be wise to buy MathCad, MatLab, Mathematica, and/or (Maple?), or any of the industry's number crunching software. Not only will you be able to double check against math errors, but you will deepen your learning with a tool you'll find, at the least, very useful. Overall, if you are even considering this book; buy it.

This is the best reference book to review with, especially for people who have been out of school for a long time, the problem is finding time to make a commitment to use it.
