First in the new racing series!Meet driver Jack Kincade. For him, second place is no place. Especially when, fresh from the army, he returns to the racing scene, and a vindictive lawman from his wild... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Pruitt has a good grasp of dialogue and scenery but his talent for putting together a plot is one of the best in all of crime writing. Aside from a few diehard racing fans, most people wouldn't consider car racing a sport let alone one that requires talent. Pruitt takes readers inside world where car racing is as admired as baseball, football, or hockey. I spent my whole life dreaming of becoming a writer so I can easily relate to the Kincaid's obsession. Pruitt's characters value family and country but the general public doesn't hold these values like they used to. If United States soldiers didn't shed blood for our freedom, I wouldn't have the opportunity to share with you this outstanding work of crime fiction.
Good Book

I have to admit that the title of this book, would have never have caught my eye. "Southern Running" is an excellent book, and I would reccomend this book to anyone that likes cars and car racing. This book shows that you must be truthful, trust worthy, and loyal. This book demonstrated that no matter how bad things get, things could be worst. This book is a great suspense novel, which keeps you guessing for what's going to happen next.
Good, basic fiction

Good read. They won't make a movie from the book, but if you enjoy cars and action, it is pretty good. Not much foul language, but some. No sex but a little "good ole boy" fist fights and a couple military wartime killings. It keeps your interest and is a good, mindless read. Basic entertainment.

Southern' Runnin' Truly A Book Worth Reading

Southern' Runnin' , a name that wouldn't normally get me intrested in a book. From the time I started reading this book to the time I put it down I was captivated by it's amazing themes and settings. This book was constant in it's ability to keep you wanting to know what's coming next. It revealed all information gradually, which kept me and the friends I let borrow it, not able to put it down. Southern' Runnin' gave me an interesting insight to the world of monshine liquor running, and the armed forces. Both of theses things were wrapped up into the plot to make this truly a memorable book. I can't wait for the sequel in this Checkered Flag series.
