This informal but more advanced sequel to the Level One book is designed for beginning students who are ready to "travel" beyond the fundamentals and gain some fluency in speaking and comprehending Spanish. Each chapter introduces a new verb tense and follows a unique vocabulary theme. The familiar "Gringo" character guides students through new material, making helpful comments and providing support.
This is Anna Rivera of the Learning Spanish Products Reviews site and author of Anna Rivera's 1000 Plus Most Powerful Spanish Words (Spanish Edition) and Anna Rivera's 800 Plus Most Powerful Spanish Phrases (Spanish Edition). Spanish for Gringos Level Two is a slightly more advanced version of Spanish for Gringos. Both books are published by Barron's Educational Series and focused on teaching Spanish to beginners. You will find that Spanish for Gringos Level Two provides a fun and informal approach to the material. Chapters are arranged by theme, and you are guided though the material by a character named "Gringo." This book hits much harder on verb usage than the Level One book, but the material is basic enough not to overwhelm beginners. You can use this book by itself or as a supplemental material with self-study Spanish course. Either way, it is a good sequel and one I would recommend. I think that anyone who buys this book and uses it regularly should see improvement in her Spanish language skills. By accident, I hit 5 stars. I don't see anyway to amend the "stars" after hitting enter. I'd like to give this book 3 1/2 stars.
Harvey's second effort at play writing

William C. Harvey satsifies our appetite for a sequel to his hit play write "Spanish for Gringos." In the sequel we see the return of many familiar faces, including several new ones, but unfortunately they appear and disappear just as fast as his previous play. My only complaints are the same as my review for his first play "Spanish for Gringos", which you can read. Harvey wrote a better play this time around with some interesting twists that will keep you guessing until it's dramatic ending. A must read for adventurous play actors/readers.
More meat taht the first book, but same old fun style

Bill Harvey returns with an enjoyable follow-up to his first book. The video version covers the material from the first book. It would be nice to see another video for the second book.
An excellent, reader-friendly guide for learning Spanish

I want to learn Spanish because my daughter-in-law is from Guadalajara. I also want to learn the language because I find it useful to know in everyday life. I've purchased many books to help me get started. Bill Harvey's Spanish for Gringos Level Two is one of the two best. (The other is The Complete Idiot's Guide to Learning Spanish). Harvey's book is fun to use and provides an excellent framework to build on. He does a supurb job "paso por paso" (step by step) of making the learning process easy for us "gringos." At its affordable price this book is an excellent value.
