Bought this so I could learn FoxPro at work. We decided to go in other directions with the project, so I had limited use of this volume. What I did experience with this text was great. Everyone is different in what works for them, but this one did it for me.
This is 1032-page book packed with FoxPro useful information

Think about this for a second. How could a book published by QUE, containing 1032 pages about FoxPro 6, be a junk? The author explains the topics with careful details. I loved it. One reviewer here calls this book a junk. That is unfair! I found an HTML version of the book here: http://docs.rinet.ru/GlyadiLisu/ the HTML is not well done, but it will give you an idea that the book is very good. I like to have a hard copy of the book next to me at all times, that's why I've bought it. My favorite part of the book was chapter 17, Advanced Object-Oriented Programming. It goes into detail to explain the most important Visual FoxPro classes. My 2 cents, Hope That Helps!
Very good VFP6 book if you invest time in it

I've read several Visusal FoxPro books, and to me, this was one of the better ones. It's not really designed as a reference book, but rather as a guide to helping the reader learn to use the various functionaliy available in VFP. This is a big topic, and the author addresses a wide range of issues. I would recommend this book to users who already have some (but not necessarily a lot) of VFP experience, and want to advance from a beginner to the next level. The book is over a thousand pages, so if you're looking for a "Learn VFP in 5-minutes", this is not the book for you.
Not a manual for quick help, but a guide to study!

Dear friends, don't use this book to solve a problem you've NOW. If you never programmed with VFP, this iS NOT the best book to buy. Read it, as a guide to understand what VFP has to give in several aspects, that other books just mentioned. Here, you have complete examples (althouth they should come on a CD-Rom) that can be VERY useful to your application. It has a little of everything, but doesn't focus too much (it's up to you find the rest of the way). But, i think it's a good book.
