Quite an enjoyable action movie

I have no idea what some people, who hated this movie so badly and so hyper-emotionally, ate or drank before watching it. In my view, it's a very well done action adventure movie, which has everything one would expect from the genre: a decent dose of suspense, a lot of dramatic action, ample special effects (done truly masterfully, especially at the end!). I agree that the plot and many of the scenes in the movie are not realistic, if you apply your analitical-critical reasoning, but hey, what's realistic about Star Wars or Harry Potter or The LOTR? Cinema is the art of illusion, not realism. Watch CNN or reality shows for realism.

This book and movie is a fast-paced action flic that never stops to surprise you with one surprise or another. Filled with action, and warm funny comedy, this is as best as a book and movie can get. Not comparable with its predecessor, this movie stands on its own as being one of the best action movie of the year 1997. With strong performances by Sandra Bullock and Jason Patric, excellent direction from Jan De Bont and a solid screenplay from Randall McCormicj and Jeff Nathanson, what more could you ask for?!? This is a must-buy and a book and movie you will want to read and see many times in the future
