a must-have for every church - freedom from the cheesy!

i've been a long-time fan of gerard kelly's writing. but having this volume of his poetry/spoken worship is like water to the soul. i am a worship leader/service designer for an urban church, and we have used most of the pieces in this book in our services. whether we read them aloud or just have them projected on the screen, they are MOVING, they are theologically solid, and most of all, NON-TRITE. a lot of "christian" poetry or media is so chock full of cliche, to just open up the first page and read Kelly's "Rob's God" piece is the most refreshing thing i've read in years! i'm buying a bunch of this book and sending them to my church-staff friends as well as my friends who are not yet Christ-followers. Kelly says what "loving God" is much better and more beautifully than i could attempt to. if there were 6 stars, i'd give it that!
