I am new to painting and I found this book not only easy to follow but my paintings turned out looking pretty good and this was a first try. Great book for beginners.

This book is wonderful! I never thought I'd be able to create beautiful landscape art, but by simply following the steps (and occasionally using a paintbrush for details when I couldnt scrunch the tip of the sponge small enough) I now have wonderful artwork throughout my apartment! This is a great beginner's book for someone who just wants a fun weekend hobby. I think even kids/teens would love this book! Pretty much all of the artwork can be done in under 2 hours, and some much more quickly! Well worth the purchase!

This book is fun and easy! Easy directions and I was able to create beautiful pictures with a regular sponge. Great for quick projects even for kids.
Good For Collage Artists

While this may not be a book designed for the serious artist or for artists who prefer a lot of detail in their images it's a great book for collage artists who want quick, easy, and fun backgrounds for their collage work. Could more effects using a spong be shown? Of course, but this wasn't written for the serious artist but for the hobby artist. At least that is my opinion of the book.

A fun and interesting book. Easy enough for a beginning painter but different enough from the usual brush and palette knife to spark the more advanced artist to try a new technique.
