Organized along the lines of the medicine wheel, Duncan Sings-Alone's book is at once both hilarious and serious. While most of live in the world of symbols, he points us to pay attention to signs and what happens when we don't distinguish what we need from what we want. Duncan Sings-Alone takes the reader on his often humorous journey from the Christian ministry to his roots as a Native American medicine healer. The autobiographical episodes are interspersed with tales of Coyote, the trickster spirit, who teases Sings-Alone as he stuggles to regain his spiritual balance. The author is obviously a master story-teller who knows how to use wit and words to convey his message. This is a wonderful, very readable book!
