The Queen deposed the evil prince Everything is fine now, right? The Lord of All has raised up a truly anointed Ferrel rian Queen, and His blessing on her reign transforms Ferrel r. It does look like that for a blessed interval, but then the evils of the world come crashing back in. It starts innocuously with unemployed warriors stealing luxury goods. No problem. But there's trouble in Aachen using Sht rmen thugs. Who's doing that? What are his plans? Whatever they are, they're not good. Political thuggery threatens the entire nation. Aachen seems out of control. Who can fix that? But the Lord has called forth an unlikely king, with no training or natural ability. What can go wrong with that? How can he help a country to which he's never even visited? He doesn't even know anyone there. As usual, the Lord's plans are simply marvelous. David Bergsland has been writing since he turned 50. Now, he's finally worked up to where he can do what he wanted to do from the first: A fantasy containing the reality he lives with, day in and day out. Finally, he's old enough to simply write what he knows he should be writing. Of course, that's a little nerve-wracking. But what's new? That's been the story of his whole life.
