The book might have the Disney logo on the back but this book is clearly made shortly after the Disney purchase of Lucasfilm/Star Wars. So this book does not include any races or animals featured in the Disney Sequel Trilogy or spinoffs. The book was first published in 2006 (Disney bought Lucasfilm/Star Wars in 2012, six years later). Anyway, this book covers the sentient, semi-sentient, and non-sentient races and animals...

This book is amazing! It goes into detail on the species physical traits, social traits, and where they grew up! My favorite parts might be when they casually mention how bad some species are doing like some of them being addicted to drugs. I enjoyed reading about the species I knew about and learning new info about them as well as learning about new species. I loves Star Wars :)

Very in-depth resource about your favorite SW Creatures. It's got just about everything. Every species/race/creature you see in the movies is in here and A LOT from the Expanded Universe but not everything. There's a lot of fantastic information in here though. Even some good stuff about General Greivous' race the Kaleesh. Definitely worth the 17$

My husband is a BIG Star Wars fan! He received this book along with the updated Guide to Droids. He has all the Essential Guides & likes to keep up to date on the latest Aliens. I would recommend this book to add to your collection of Star Wars Books. Kind of like a "program" guide
