What comes to mind when you think of inner peace? Do you instantly picture Asian monks in orange garments? Me too. Yoga, pilates, and meditation? Same. That exclusive Brentwood housewife aesthetic? Love it.
Inner peace is not exclusive to the buddhists living in the Chinese mountains or the Karens living in the Santa Monica mountains. You don't even need to eat, pray, and love in Bali to be at peace with yourself.
If it's not out loud, you're chattering away internally. And if it's not mental chatter, you're venting and complaining to whoever's around. What if I told you a world of inner peace was on the other side of shutting your mouth?
Think about it: there are ads on every website, billboards on every corner, nonstop music in every store, endless notifications on your phone, and countless emails that are demanding your attention.
There is too much noise. And quite frankly, with all this noise, you won't go very far.
Filled with personal anecdotes and tough love, there is a lot to be learned. STFU and decide right now that you will take control of the noise before it takes control of you.
