I agree with someone else on the reviews that the second book is much better than the first. Easy patterns and quick to sew. Lots of ideas. The only thing that bothers me about a lot of these books is that they show some animals as 'examples' but don't tell you how to make them. ARtistic license I'm sure.
Perfect gift

I bought this book along with Stray Sock Sewing for my girls for Christmas. They are both in their 20's. I would consider both of them beginning sewers and they loved both books. They are having a lot of fun and really enjoy making the animals. They have had no difficulty following the patterns. Thank you for providing me with the perfect Christmas gift.
Cuter than the first.

I got this from a book club for free and I am so tickled with it's quality. From the adorable bee to the irresistible Cheshire cat, it makes it so no one's socks in the house are safe from the scissors. Hours of fun and quick easy how to instructions make this just about my favorite craft book ever.
Can't get enough of his books

In his books I found a common love for sock babies. The pictures are beautiful, the instructions are easy to follow. The stories and captions on the babies are really great, too. All of his books make me smile everytime I open them up. Unlike others who have commented on his books, I love that he DOESN'T show you how to make every single softie in his books. This forces me to think outside the box and figure out how to make them myself by looking at the pictures. No matter what you make, they always look different than his because you're going to have different socks and a different perspective. Thank you Daniel.
