Beadwork magazine's special issues were mined for this collection of more than 50 elegant and trendy designs from past years along with the debut of ten new projects, all from the Beadwork design... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This of one of my few favorite beading books. It has very beautiful designs and excellent craftmanship of the projects. There are so many amazing clasps on each piece (I have a sweet spot for clasps) which really make each piece look so special and refined. Anyway, very beautiful to look at. If, however you are a beader who needs to see pictures of the little step by step instructions that many books provide, this one does not. It gives clear instruction in text form. But no little diagrams. Otherwise, its a fantastic source for inspiration!
Elegant, fun, mostly easy designs

This, and the follow up book "Stringing Style 2" have some of the most elegant, exciting designs I have seen in beading "how to" books. Good instructions assume you know a little about beading (but not too much, coz I'm faking my way through). Well worth the money.
Fantastic

I find that buying a new jewelry book is like taking a chance on a blind date: sometimes you want to call it a night at 6:00, and other times you want to linger and just totally enjoy the experience you are having...and then relive the whole thing as soon as possible! I found this book by Jamie Hogsett to be a great date! First of all, for beginning jewelry makers, she has covered all the types of beads, and included photos. I enjoyed this part and learned a few new things, for example: what tools the Karen hill tribe use to make their silver beads. I didn't know how they made their beads! How fascinating! After that, she covers a variety of things such as types of findings, crimping, and--thank you Jamie!--how to make seed beed loops for button clasps. My former nemesis. Then come the projects: some cool bracelets, and, more thoroughly covered, a series of breathtakingly photographed and laid out full page bracelets and necklaces in beautiful variety. All with the sources listed, so you can easily access the things you might need to make a necklace or bracelet you find appealing. All with GREAT DIRECTIONS! Who are you today? You will find yourself in here, I bet. I was attracted to "Purple Power Cuff", and "Botanic Garden" right off the bat, but there are so many lovely winners... and that is just me, for today! I can't WAIT for my next "date" with STRINGING STYLE!
