I thought this was a very good book - but for people who really have no, or very little knowledge about taking care of their heart. It gives very good info on how the heart works, different procedures, and exercise. Diet is also included with recipes

This is a highly readable scientifically based book on how to decrease the risk of developing heart disease. The strongest points are its emphasis on cardiovascular disease in women and the evidence based scientific literature regarding the nature of the problem and the approaches to decreasing heart disease. The dietary advice is sound without being trendy or glib, the advice on appropriate receipes is useful. The guide to adequate exercise and physical activity is very helpful. An excellent book by science professionals for the laymen audience.
