Survival English 101: Living in the United States of America

Survival English 101 is the first book in the Survival English series created by Washington Language Institute (WLI) for English as a Second Language (ESL) students. At WLI, we have been teaching our students to be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English for over ten years and one factor that makes our Survival English book series so unique is that it is derived from the perspectives of non-native English speakers. A compilation of questions from foreign students coupled with our desire to understand their perspective of learning English has brought forth this unique and essential book for all ESL students. This first book, Survival English 101, focuses on the culture and the traditions that have made America a great nation.
