This is a story set around 1384 in the fictional country of Dehrmacht. Sylrac, a bully and a rogue, imagines he is in trouble with a formidable lady ruler and flees her wrath. He finds a new city, establishes himself in business and builds his power. A band of condottieri moves into the area and this leads to more trouble. This is an exciting adventure story with humour, action and battle. A good read for those who like to curl up with a good book and immerse themselves in another world.
