August Shroeder, a burned-out teacher, has been sober since his 19-year-old son died. Every year he's spent the summer on the road, but making it to Yellowstone this year means everything. The plan had been to travel there with his son, but now August is making the trip with Philip's ashes instead. An unexpected twist of fate lands August with two extra passengers for his journey, two half-orphans with nowhere else to go. What none of them could have known was how transformative both the trip--and the bonds that develop between them--would prove, driving each to create a new destiny together.
Anyone really will enjoy this book. It might be just me, as a child of foster care.. but this book pulled on my heartstrings. A wonderful read and I would highly suggest to anyone looking for an overall sweet story.

Catherine Ryan Hyde has done it again!
When August Shroeder's RV breaks down he has it repaired at the home of Wes, the father of two young boys. It will take a few days to get the RV back on the road, where August was heading with his own son's ashes to leave them in Yellowstone.
Wes has a situation of his own where he bargins with the stranded traveler to take his two boys with him for his summer's journey. This is where the story takes off and you don't want this book to end.
Thank you, Catherine Ryan Hyde for sharing your wonderful talent with us all. I will be reading more of your work.
