Another great book from Matthew Palmer!

I have Matthew's "Watercolor for the Absolute Beginner" and love it. I am fascinated by these "Take Three Color" books. My major struggle with painting is mixing colors... The books in this series give you experience painting a picture with just a red, yellow, and a blue. He just uses 3 round brushes. The projects are colorful and beautifully done. I just got the book and am so glad that I did. The projects prove that you don't need every paint color or a couple dozen specialized brushes to paint a beautiful picture. If you are a beginning watercolor painter, you will grow with any of the books in this series. I got this one based on the suggestion of artist David Bellamy that beginners should practice mixing colors and doing landscapes with 3 colors before moving on to using more colors in their paintings. It allows you to learn about unity of color and tone as well.
