From simple 'one-bite' delicates such as stuffed cherry tomatoes to more substantial dishes such as scallop in saffron sauce or miniature pork brochettes, these traditional tapas dishes are... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I picked up this book on a whim from the cookbook bargain bin at TJ Maxx (it was 2 bucks and I was on a tapas kick, having just returned from a vacation in Spain - I couldn't resist!) and was pleasantly surprised to find that it's actually a useful little book filled with tempting and delicious recipes. The anglerfish, bacon and rosemary skewers are completely delicious, the tortilla espanola is one of the easiest and most delicious versions I've seen in a cookbook, and if you make the salted almond recipe with macadamia nuts, those crunchy little beasts will be the most popular item on your tapas "bar" - delicious! It's a book worth getting, for sure.
Good collection of recipes...but watch the instructions!

I forget when I picked up this little book of tapas recipes, but have gone to it many times. The Eggplant & Bell Pepper Dip is killer, and many of my friends insist I bring it when they invite me over. There's plenty of other great tapas dishes in here, all of them good, and the best thing is that most of the recipes are pretty simple to make. Now for the bad news: A lot of the recipes simply don't go the way it says in the book. For example, I need to roast the eggplant and red peppers much longer than the book suggests to get the desired effect. I found I had to improvise to make a lot of these recipes work, but the results were well worth it.
