Good introduction to the language

I have used this book and a lot of other books to learn Spanish.It is a lot better than any other book I have used before, because it is actually written for an absolute beginner. Whereas some other books I have used were to complicated to start with. In regards to learning how to pronounce the language, I can say from experience, since I am fluent in five languages, that you absolutely need recordings.In my opinion, this book is an excellent introduction to the Spanish language, if you take the trouble to buy some tapes to practice the pronunciation.
