One GREAT thing...

This is a great children's book! Both the poetry and the illustrations are inspiring. I liked it so much that I printed out the title poem and my 8-year-old daughter taped it on the wall next to her bed! She reads it every night before going to sleep and I think it is a wonderful way to teach your child how to introspect and to dream about doing great things. I'd recommend this book highly for children and encourage adults to read this one with their child.

I'm not selling my copy of this book because I won't part with it. The poem, "Tell me one good thing," for which the book is titled, is alone worth the price. This poem became a treasured bedtime ritual for myself and my children. Every evening, as I gave them a back rub, we would quietly go through the poem, sending them drifting off into sleep with all of the positive thoughts and feelings that went along with it. It brings me great joy that we had such a wonderful ritual together, that set the tone for a restful night's sleep. It is particularly good for any children struggling with self esteem, or having tendencies to ruminate over negative things. Because it is short and simple, we also ALWAYS had time for it, no matter what. Wish I could give it 10 stars plus!
