When confirmed bachelor Benjamin Sinclair receives an anonymous letter claiming he has a teenage son, he's in shock. He tries to track down his first love, but found that she'd disappeared completely, leaving their son Michael with her sister Emma. When Ben finds that once-shy Emma Sands has blossomed into the strong, beautiful owner of a small chain of sporting camps, he signs up as a guest, hoping that in sixteen years he's changed enough that she won't recognize him, and he can get to know his son without complication. But Emma would recognize Ben Sinclair anywhere, anytime--and so does Michael. While Michael can't wait to get to know his father, Emma is more cautious, fully aware that the kind of man who would abandon his pregnant girlfriend and his son is one she didn't want around. Realizing that he's falling in love with not only his newly discovered son, but also Emma, Ben becomes determined to find a way to make her love him back.
Tempt Me if You Can by Janet Chapman is a continuation to the series, this one revolves around Emma, Ben and Mike. The plot was entertaining and unique, the characters were well developed and interesting and the book as a whole was a page turner. Emma Sands has taken care of her nephew Mike since he was born, but when he was 5yrs old his mother left leaving a young Emma to raise him all by herself. Now 10 years later the two have become closer then ever and run a hunting/cabin business in a small town. Benjamin Sinclair is heir to a shipping business, when one day he gets a letter telling him he has a son he know it's true. The first thing he does is get on a plan to go meet his son, but the last time he was in the small town the people thought he was responsible for a bombing that killed a man. What the two never expected to happen was to fall in love, and then have to figure out who has been using the woods that surrounds the cabins and for what. It may just kill them both. A wonderful romance story with great writing and an interesting storyline. ash
Old Fashioned But Still Solid

This is one of those books that I feel happy to recommend to a host of different readers. It is a solid outdoors adventure perfect for the injured outdoors-person. It has a great "family feel" to it, so traditional folks like "Grandma" would find it enjoyable. FInally a strong, capable teen character (and very limited sensuality) creates a sure fire winner for the YA reader. That said, it was a little dry for me. The lead female is capable but almost "stunted" in her ability to interact with a male. Still it was a great adventure story--less of a romance.

I adore Janet Chapman. She's one of those writers that can see into the soul and turn around to write exactly what a reader longs for. TEMPT ME IF YOU CAN is exactly like that. It has a heroine who has given up the adventures of youth to shoulder responsibility that was not her own. It also has a hero that is easy to fall in love with as they both jump off the pages to share their lives with the reader. This book also has a thrilling plot with twists, surprises, and a one-antlered moose who thinks he's knight in shining...ribbons.

Janet Chapman brings it to the plate here! As always! This book is a must buy just like the rest of them. There is plenty of action, romance, and suspense. JANET CHAPMAN is original and nothing like other authors her writing is 100% individual every book doesnt sound the same and every character is so interesting. I love the characters in this book Ben is strong and brave, commanding and sexy! Emma is fiesty, independent, impulsive, and loving. Michael is brilliant, loving, and kind, and has the makings of becoming a great man! This story kept me enthralled. I had a hard time putting it down!
