Tansy, formally known simply as Ten, is part of a unique creation by the genius Doctors who started Wellington/Clark Laboratories. She is one of a rare set of triplets created from a single strand of DNA.
Along with many other women, they are grown for the express desire to supply the wealthy with new organs, among other things. When you have enough money or power, there is no waiting list.
With the aid of a guard, who has grown a conscience, she is able to escape the hell that has been her life, along with a newborn baby.
Together Tansy and Wanda roam the streets of Reno until they are taken in by a transgender woman named Betty. Betty helps to teach Tansy about the world around her. She also raises Wanda in a loving home, where she will never know the horrors she had narrowly escaped.
The corporation will stop at nothing to guard their secret. The world must never find out that instead of growing the needed organs, they are being harvested from helpless victims. A team is dispatched to find Tansy and the prized baby and bring them back, where they will be stripped of everything that can be harvested, then tossed like so much garbage into an incinerator.
Once they learn their location has been discovered, they buy a ticket and ride it as far as their meager savings will take them. They end up in a small town in Indiana, where Betty gets a job as a cook, meets and falls in love with a former member of a special forces team. He makes a few phone calls, and the FBI is called in to investigate.
A raid brings the large corporation down, and thousands of women and young girls are rescued.

Meeks Version:
Some children are more precious than others...
...because their organs are worth a fortune.
Why did the guard save her?
In her mid-twenties, Tansy knew her time was near. At the barren California camp, where they were kept like cattle, nobody got out alive. Created from stem cells at the Wellington/Clark Labs, the kids were nothing more than a commodity. Then the most amazing thing happened.
She escaped.
With a newborn baby in tow, they make it to Reno and that's where they met a transgendered woman named Betty. She took them in to her home. For a while, it looks like Tansy might be able to learn enough about the world to have a life.
But the corporation didn't like loose ends.
Would they find her?
What does she need to do to escape her past?
You'll love this grim tale of greed and corruption, because Tansy is a resourceful woman who's brave enough to fight for what's right.
Get it now.
