I found this book to be very helpful and full of useful material. I read the competency descriptions over a period of a few weeks and then I took the practice tests 2 days before my actual test. I found the types of questions to be more similar to the actual test than the other review book that I had purchased.

I passed my PPR because the CD-ROM was helpful and helped me build a tolerance with the timed online test. It felt real and prepared me to stay calm for the actual exam. I failed the PPR the first time and passed the second try when I purchased the book. EC-4.

The book really covered the same things that the test covered.... REALLY! AND there is a CDROM included that let's you take practice tests. It is great practice, and great if you don't want to just sit and read. The explanations are excellent and helped me to 'choose' answers on the actual test that I wasn't totally sure of. I took the EC-12 test and I would advise anyone else taking it to get this book/cd and forget all those other study guides.

I have looked at this book several times, and it is pretty detailed and helpful. I haven't finished studying for the test yet for lack of time. I think it is going to help me quite a bit, because it is also repetitive, which in this cas is good.
