Shakespeare should be cut down and simplified for younger performers, and the idea of a book with condensed scenes is a good one, but this book takes simplification too far. Shakespeare's beautiful poetry is butchered in order to simplify the language, as a teacher that is the wrong approach, we should be teaching young performers to wrestle with the words and their meanings with our guidance. One of the biggest joys as a young Shakespeare reader is the moment his language "clicks" this books format and structure does not assist in that.
