I got interested in this series when I watched the movie. My daughter was even captivated by the movie. I decided to get the books to see if they were close to the movie. So far this book follows the movie but with much more detail that keeps you captivated. Very pleased with condition of book and storyline
Amazing!!

I was iffy about purchasing this book, seeing as I hadn't heard much about it and I'm always nervous about how books will turn out. However, its by far one of my favorite YA dystopian novels, pretty close in favorites to Divergent and Hunger Games. Like the other two books mentioned, it has a creative plot that moves quickly and kept my attention as a reader. While going back and forth from flashback to present time, I never lost track of what was going on. This was just a book I simply could not put down. I ended up reading all of the books in the series in a single weekend, as I was attached to the characters and the plot. I will admit, the last book was disappointing and ended sadly, so If you're not prepared for that, I would not recommend reading all the way through till the ending. However, the first book, which is this one, is incredible. I'm not a fan of romance, however in the YA dystopian genre its almost unavoidable. Id say the romance in this book wasn't written poorly which I definitely appreciate and didn't overshadow the plot too much. Overall a great book and its probably great for ages 13-16, as most YA dystopian novels are, however, I can see people older than that age range enjoying this book as well.
This is one of my favorite books

I’ve always liked sci-fi, but this book would be hard to not fall in love with even for someone who doesn’t like the genre. It’s gorgeously written and there are so many inspiring characters. It’s action packed until the very end and impossible not to keep turning the page!
great book

This was the first book on my 2016 reading list. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will be ordering The Infinite Sea and The Last Star because I just have to know what happens next. The only thing I can say I disliked about it was how each section jumped from one person's perspective to another and then back again. Even though the perspective changes back and forth a lot between a couple of the characters, the author does a masterful job of starting the section off in a way that allows you to know which character is speaking. It's a great story and I look forward to the others.
