This book is a good introduction to the study of public policy. It covers a wide range of topics. It begins by looking at basic concepts in the study of public policy--from power to representation to basic values (e.g., efficiency, equality, justice). It also begins by examining key actors and institutions in the policy process. Next, the volume addresses basic theories of the policy process (e.g., rational choice, stages of the policy process, and so on).
